We spent a week in Newcastle for Moving Parts Puppetry Festival in the cosy Alphabetti theatre. There was a lot to do and a great vibe in the festival hub with resident theatre dog Rex and puppets in every corner.
We performed our show, Ella performed in the opening night cabaret, Bori made a beautiful and weird harpy puppet at Judith Hope‘s Winged Creatures making course, and we competed in a crazy Puppet Olympics!
Our highlight shows were:
Stephen Mottram’s The Seed Carriers, an eerie and enchantingly precise work with beautiful stage design, puppets and automata.
The Uk premiere of No One’s Land by Merlin Puppet Theatre, a show filled with emotion and humour, with a striking combination of puppetry, and projection mapping.
Thanks Moving Parts!
