Minibeasts (in development)

Minibeasts will be a new family show  where the audience witnesses the human animal attempting an impossibly odd feat of empathy: crawling inside minibeast skins and limbs and sensory things! We try to do, sense and communicate in ways totally different from how a well behaved human ought to. Try things on, try things out: with costumes and makeshift apparatus to add to and modify our bodies and senses. We approximate and we are clumsy but we do our best and fail hilariously at embodying some of the tiniest and strangest creatures we share our planet with.

We will invite you to temporarily shed your human skin and experience a fantastical adventure of changing scales and perspectives. Revealing how inadequate the human body is for daily minibeast life, we’ll demonstrate  that the human species isn’t superior but just one branch on the diverse tree of life, ripe with odd creatures adapted for diverse ways of living. The possibilities are endless so why be limited to only two eyes, arms and legs!
